ŋatiyati = they run
ɗita = like
ŋixoniice = strong men
like men of war they climb the walls = otsiyati ɲararataa ɗita cemicee
otsiyati = they climb them
ɲararataa = the wall
ɗita = like
cemicee = fighting men
The Hebrew word for wall is khowmaw’ (חומה). It has the same root as khawm (חם), which means husband’s father.
each one marches in formation = deikatie ɲot iriana mucea
deikatie = on the legs
ɲot = men
iriana = being equal
mucea = on the road
Ik locusts do not march along the road – they have an equal number of legs on the road. They do not push against one another because their legs move as one leg.
